The Lawrence Humane Society's Mutt 'N' Strut benefit Saturday raised between $24,000 and $26,000 for the animal shelter.
About 300 people attended the event at Sunflower School, said Jeaneen Hercha, a humane society employee. The event included a walk and booths with information about the humane society.
"We did really well. We did better than last year," Hercha said. "We're very happy.
