Trump wagers his hair

Indianapolis – Imagine The Donald – without the hair.

It could become reality, thanks to World Wrestling Entertainment owner Vince McMahon.

On April 1, he and Donald Trump will have a wrestler compete on each’s behalf in the “Battle of the Billionaires” at WrestleMania 23 in Detroit – the WWE’s biggest annual pay-per-view event.

If Umaga beats Bobby Lashley, McMahon will give Trump what some might call a long-overdue buzz. If Lashley, Trump’s rep, wins, McMahon will sport a new look.

Trump, the real estate mogul and star of NBC’s “The Apprentice,” knows his ‘do isn’t popular with some fans.

“A lot of people want to see it shaved,” he told the Associated Press in a phone interview from his New York office. “I do get criticized, there’s no question about it, although I’ve never had any problem with it. It certainly has seemed to work.”

Trump deserves to be humiliated, McMahon said during an interview before an edition of “WWE Monday Night Raw” in Indianapolis.

“Hopefully, I have really dull scissors so I can yank the rest of it out that I can’t cut,” McMahon said. “But I may be surprised how much Mother Nature has already beaten me to the punch. I won’t know that until I start cutting.”

Premiere date set for Bindi Irwin’s show

New York – Bubbly 8-year-old Bindi Irwin, daughter of the late “Crocodile Hunter” Steve Irwin, will make her debut this summer as a nature-loving TV host.

“Bindi: The Jungle Girl,” designed to help get more children interested in wildlife conservation, premieres June 9 on the Discovery Kids Channel.

Bindi will interact with a variety of animals, from koalas to elephants and snakes, while explaining how all animals – both cute and not-so-cute – need to be given respect and protection, the network said.

She began filming with her father in early 2006.

Steve Irwin died last September after a stingray’s poisonous barb pierced his chest while he was diving in the Great Barrier Reef. His wife, Terri, and Bindi, decided to finish filming the weekly series, the network said.

Steve Irwin will appear in scenes shot before his death and in other archival footage, Discovery publicist David Schaefer said Wednesday.

Meltdown blamed on medication

Los Angeles – Scott Weiland’s wife said an imbalance of medications for bipolar disorder caused rowdy behavior that left hotel rooms trashed and led to her arrest for allegedly torching the Velvet Revolver rocker’s clothes.

Burbank police said the couple argued Saturday afternoon at the luxury Graciela Hotel, leaving two rooms damaged. Mary Weiland was later arrested for allegedly burning her husband’s clothes outside their Toluca Lake home, investigators said.

“The weekend’s difficulties were brought on by a reaction to an imbalance in medications used to treat my bipolar disorder,” she said in a statement. “Reports that we were fighting at the Graciela Hotel are untrue. Scott was simply trying to help me calm down. I want to make it very clear that he did not hurt me in any way.

“For lack of a better expression, I was unstable and just lost it.”

Mary Weiland, 31, was booked for investigation of felony arson vandalism Saturday night.

The 39-year-old rocker told police his wardrobe was worth $10,000.
