Law enforcement report

¢ Lawrence police are investigating a report that an 18-year-old Lawrence man threatened and harassed a 14-year-old Lawrence girl. Police are looking for the man. The alleged incidents occurred between Feb. 14 and Sunday in the 2200 block of Harper Street.

¢ Police are investigating a report that someone may be camping in the woods near Quail Run School, school district officials said Wednesday. Students have reported seeing and hearing someone in the woods before school, according to an announcement from the school district.

“Staff investigated and found a sleeping bag and burned-out campfire in the woods,” the announcement said. “The school sent a note home with students to inform parents and to encourage them not to let their children walk or play in the wooded area without proper adult supervision.”

Burglaries and thefts reported

¢ A 23-year-old Lawrence man reported that someone took his GT XCR 2500 mountain bike valued at $2,000. The bicycle was in the owner’s garage in the 2600 block of Missouri Street when it was taken overnight Saturday. Police found no signs of forced entry to the garage.

¢ A 1996 Dodge Avenger valued at $2,000 was reported missing Monday to Lawrence police by a 22-year-old Lawrence man. He told police the car had been parked in the 400 block of West 11th Street.
