Law enforcement report

¢ Lawrence police are investigating a recent incident of graffiti. Between 5 p.m. Friday and 7:30 a.m. Saturday, graffiti was spray-painted onto a semitrailer and a wooden fence outside the Goodwill Industries building, 2200 W. 31st St. Damage was estimated at $600.

¢ Lawrence police arrested two 21-year-old men for violating the city’s missile ordinance. According to a police report, two men allegedly struck golf balls at the Kappa Sigma fraternity, 1045 Emery Road, some of them nearly hitting cars and passers-by.

Burglaries and thefts reported

¢ A theft of compact discs and stereo equipment was reported at 2:50 p.m. March 8 in the 4000 block of West Sixth Street. According to a police report, a stereo, an adapter plate and several compact discs were stolen, valued at $1,100.

Injury accidents

¢ A 22-year-old Tonganoxie man is listed in good condition following an early-morning accident Tuesday on the Kansas Turnpike.

Ryan A. Gray was taken by helicopter to Overland Park Regional Medical Center after his 2000 GMC pickup struck the barrier wall on the turnpike, crossed the road and struck the guardrail, and then struck the barrier again before flipping, according to an accident report.

The accident occurred shortly before 6 a.m. at milepost 225, about 20 miles east of Lawrence on Interstate 70.
