Prairie Park Nature Center, 2730 S.W. Harper St., will be closed Monday through Friday .

The closing will affect only the education center, as the park and preserve will remain open.

The nature center will reopen at 9 a.m. July 7.

Marty Birrell, nature education supervisor, said that during the construction, new lighting will be placed in the facility.

The Prairie Park Nature Center is city-operated and provides environmental educational programs for the public and schools.
