Man removed from train is found in Arizona

? Searchers found a St. Louis man Thursday night after he had been put off an Amtrak train four days earlier. He had been missing in a remote Arizona forest ever since.

A Coconino County Sheriff’s deputy found Roosevelt Sims, 65, at 9:40 p.m. Thursday walking along railroad tracks about 2 miles from the train stop in Williams, Ariz., where he was escorted off the train, police said.

He was barefoot, wearing only his underwear and walking with a stick, family members said. He appeared to be in good condition. He was taken to Flagstaff Medical Center for evaluation, said the sheriff’s department.

Officials plan to interview Sims once doctors clear him.

Train officials escorted him off the Amtrak about 10 p.m. Sunday because they thought he was drunk.

His family insists that his disruptive behavior may have been caused by his recently diagnosed diabetes.
