To the editor:

I heard the story about building the business park on the north side of town. Why build on the floodplain and on good farmland? This will ruin land that could be used to grow food. It will make flooding worse. Will there be any farmland left when I’m an adult? Will there be any beautiful places left, or will all the lovely land around Lawrence be turned into strip malls? I like to ride my bike and walk in Grant Township and North Lawrence. Will there be any outdoor places left for children to play? Please think about what this means for children, too.
