Chamber to serve ‘thank-you’ treats

Volunteers from the Lawrence Chamber of Commerce will fan out across the business community during the next few days, celebrating Business Appreciation Month by distributing thousands of yummy treats.


An estimated 3,000 employees from 25 companies will have access to the baked goods, which will be distributed during separate events from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

The schedule, according to the chamber:

¢ Monday: Del Monte Foods, O'Malley Beverage, Reuter Organ, Lawrence Paper Co., Berry Plastics, Standard Beverage, Schlumberger, Pur-O-Zone, ICL and Chemtrade.

¢ Tuesday: Kingston Printing, Sac's Distributors, HP Pelzer, Brown Cargo Van, MartinLogan, HiPer Technology and Allen Press.

¢ Wednesday: Kinedyne, Amarr Garage Doors, API Foils, Prosoco, Sauer-Danfoss, Progress Vanguard and Hallmark Cards.

They are going to be in for a surprise if they go to Kingston Printing, which has moved to Eudora.
