Kansas University leaders recently named Diana Robertson as director of the department of student housing.

Robertson had served as interim director since February 2006, and came to KU in 1999.

Robertson previously was an assistant housing director at North Carolina State University and worked at Kansas State University. She earned a doctorate in student counseling and personnel services at K-State.

KU housing facilities are home to about 5,200 students and include eight residence halls, 11 scholarship halls, Jayhawker Towers and Sunflower/Stouffer Place apartment complexes.

Robertson named Jennifer Wamelink as an associate director for residence life. Wamelink has worked for KU student housing since 1997.
