Donation benefits CLO recycling program
A recent donation gave a boost to the recycling program conducted by Community Living Opportunities in Lawrence.
A check for $500 was presented to CLO from Cans for the Community, a nonprofit organization providing support to other nonprofit groups in Douglas County. That financial support comes from recycling aluminum cans.
The donation allows CLO to purchase new recycling bins and uniforms for its recycling business crew. The CLO recycling program is dedicated to improving the environment through recycling while also providing for people with disabilities. Lawrence residents can sign up for CLO’s curbside recycling services by calling Jolene Peterson at 865-5520, ext. 354.
