Catholic Community Services seeks volunteers to provide support for the counseling office three nights per week, from 4:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. or as needed.

Duties include answering the phone, collecting intake information, general clerical work, filing, collecting payments and other duties as needed. The volunteers should have good organizational skills with attention to detail and some ability to multitask.

¢ Independence Inc. seeks a volunteer to assist a client with vision impairment by reading and driving for several hours once each week.

¢ Success by Six is looking for several volunteers to assist with child care during English instruction classes for adults. The English classes will be in the United Way building, 2518 Ridge Court, from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. each Monday starting today, and from 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. every Wednesday starting this week. Volunteers are needed for both sessions.

¢ The Centro Hispano Resource Center seeks volunteers to help with the Cultural Saturdays summer program for Latino elementary school children in Lawrence.

The program will be held each Saturday starting this week and will include workshops on Latino arts, dance, culture and language. Volunteers do not need to speak Spanish.

¢ The Lawrence Humane Society needs volunteers to take animals for visits at nursing homes in Douglas County. Shifts include Wednesday and Thursday afternoon visits, two to four times each month.
