It's a boy for Watts, Schreiber, first child for the couple

Los Angeles - Naomi Watts has given birth to a baby boy.

Alexander Pete Schreiber was born Wednesday in Los Angeles and weighed 8 pounds, 4 ounces, Watts' publicist, Robin Baum, said Thursday. It's the first child for the Australian actress and her boyfriend, Liev Schreiber.

Watts, 38, and Schreiber, 39, co-starred in last year's "The Painted Veil."

Spears' bodyguard ticketed in scuffle with photographers

Las Vegas - A bodyguard for Britney Spears must face a battery charge after he scuffled with two men trying to photograph the singer and her young sons at a Las Vegas Strip resort, police said Friday.

The bodyguard, Cesar Julio Camera, 37, was accused of grabbing and punching one photographer and pushing another into a wall about 11:30 a.m. Thursday at the spa at the Wynn Las Vegas hotel-casino.

Camera was issued a misdemeanor battery summons after the scuffle.

No serious injuries resulted, police said. Neither Spears, 25, nor the children - 22-month-old Sean Preston Federline and 10-month-old Jayden James Federline - were reported to have been hurt.

Lohan's father chided for failing to pay child support

Mineola, N.Y. - A judge chided Michael Lohan on Friday for his failure to make child support payments to Lindsay Lohan's younger brother and sister since his release from prison earlier this year.

"The obligation to pay child support is absolute. ... It is not to be taken willy-nilly," state Supreme Court Justice Robert A. Ross scolded Lohan in a brief proceeding inside a small, standing-room-only Long Island courtroom. "Enough is enough."

The court appearance by Lohan and his estranged wife, Dina, who have been separated since 2005, attracted a brigade of photographers, reporters and camera crews eager for any snippet of Lohan news following the arrest earlier this week of their daughter Lindsay.

"She's in a safe place and she's doing well," Dina Lohan said of Lindsay.

The 21-year-old actress was arrested Tuesday in Santa Monica, Calif., and released on bail for investigation of misdemeanor driving under the influence and with a suspended license and felony cocaine possession. Her plight wasn't mentioned in the courtroom Friday.

Ross' primary concern was for the welfare of Aliana, 13, and brother, Dakota, 10. Another brother, Michael, is 19 and doesn't require child support.

Gabor's husband found naked in car, claims he was mugged

Santa Monica, Calif. - Zsa Zsa Gabor's husband, who made headlines earlier this year when he claimed to be the father of Anna Nicole Smith's baby, said Friday he was stripped, robbed and left naked in his Rolls-Royce by three women.

Frederic Von Anhalt called police about 10 a.m. Thursday to say he'd been driving on Bellagio Road behind the Bel Air Country Club when he was flagged down by three women in a white Chrysler convertible with Florida plates, said Los Angeles Police Department spokesman Kevin Maiberger.

Von Anhalt said he thought the women wanted to pose for a photograph with him, but when he started talking to them, one of them pushed a gun into his neck.

"All of a sudden I felt a pressure on my neck. She said to me, 'It's the real thing, don't move,'" Von Anhalt told reporters outside a Santa Monica courtroom Friday, following a hearing in which his wife was ordered to pay nearly $4,000 for failing to attend an earlier court session in an ongoing lawsuit against her daughter.

"He was found naked in the front seat," Officer Sandra Gonzalez said. He was not injured.

Von Anhalt said one woman took the keys from his Rolls-Royce then handcuffed him to the steering wheel. The police say no handcuffs were found.

2 charged with plotting to extort $1M from Tom Cruise

Los Angeles - Two men were charged with plotting to extort more than $1 million from Tom Cruise for the actor's stolen wedding photographs, federal authorities announced Friday.

David Hans Schmidt, known for brokering deals involving compromising celebrity photos and videos, was charged with sending communications for purposes of extortion, according to a criminal complaint.

Marc Lewis Gittleman, who authorities say helped recover photos from a computer disk, was charged with conspiracy to commit extortion, the complaint said.

Schmidt, 47, was arrested by federal agents Tuesday, while Gittleman, 33, was taken into custody Thursday night.
