Law enforcement report
¢ A 23-year-old Lawrence man who suffered multiple stab wounds from a fight at a party early Saturday was treated and released from Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
Emergency responders received a call from officials at LMH about 3:30 a.m. that the victim, Dominic Esparza, was being treated.
Lawrence police officers are still investigating the incident, but believe the victim and his friend attended a house party in the 1300 block of New York Street, where a fight occurred. After leaving the residence, the victim realized his injuries, at which time he was taken to LMH to receive medical attention.
Burglaries and thefts reported
¢ A 44-year-old Lawrence woman reported the theft of miscellaneous camera equipment worth $1,200. The crime happened between 8 p.m. and 9:24 p.m. July 13 in the 1300 block of East 21st Street.
¢ A 21-year-old Lawrence woman reported deprivation of a 1993 Mercury worth $5,000. The crime happened between 11:30 p.m. Thursday and 12:01 a.m. Friday on the 1700 block of West 24th Street.
Injury accidents
¢ A 16-year-old Manhattan girl was injured in a one-vehicle accident at 11:45 a.m. Saturday at milepost 208 on the Kansas Turnpike. She was taken by ambulance to Lawrence Memorial Hospital. According to a Kansas Turnpike Authority report, Tamboue Makwegam Jolene Tamboue lost control of the 2004 Jeep she was driving due to worn tires on a wet road and hit the median. She was treated and released.
