Writing workshop planned in K.C.

The Kansas City Writers Group, with the Writer’s Place, will sponsor “August with the Agents” next month for interested participants.

Ashley and Carolyn Grayson, Los Angeles literary agents, are offering a session from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Aug. 6 devoted to nonfiction and tech writing, and a second session from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Aug. 7 for fiction projects. Both workshops will take place at Oak Hall Condominiums, 4550 Warwick Blvd., Kansas City, Mo.

Ashley and Carolyn Grayson are co-authors, with John Barnes, of “Whypod? The New Buying Paradigm and How Apple Found It.” They also are frequent presenters at writing conferences nationwide.

Preregistration is required for both workshops; no walk-ins will be admitted. Contact Chalise Bourque Miner via e-mail at satori@kc.rr.com or call (816) 561-7550 with questions.

To register for either session, send $150 ($300 if you wish to attend both days) payable to Ashley Grayson to Chalise Bourque Miner, 4550 Warwick Blvd., No. 1009, Kansas City, MO 64111.
