‘Reverend’ Tori Spelling marries gay couple at inn

New York – Tori Spelling is now available for weddings.

“Yep, that’s right. : Reverend Tori Spelling! I did it last week online and my official certificate is in the mail. I’m so proud,” the 34-year-old actress said in a posting Monday on the MySpace.com site she shares with her husband, Dean McDermott.

Spelling officiated at a same-sex union last weekend at Chateau La Rue, the bed-and-breakfast that she and McDermott run in Fallbrook, Calif., on their Oxygen network unscripted series, “Tori & Dean: Inn Love,” her spokeswoman, Meghan Prophet, said Tuesday.

“I was so honored when the couple asked me to officiate. We did it on the front steps of the Chateau as 40 of their friends looked on seated in a loungelike atmosphere,” Spelling wrote.

Spelling and McDermott, who were married in May 2006, will reprise their innkeeper duties for the show’s second season, which premieres Aug. 14.

German city plans monument honoring Beatles’ early years

Berlin – A monument to the Beatles will be constructed in Hamburg, where the Fab Four launched their international career 45 years ago.

Radio station Oldie 95, the organizer, says the $625,000 steel monument will be built on a corner of the St. Pauli district near clubs where the Beatles played songs such as “Love Me Do” in 1962.

The monument will represent Paul McCartney, John Lennon, George Harrison, Ringo Starr and early Beatle Stuart Sutcliffe, who died in 1962 in Hamburg, the radio station said Monday.

Construction is expected to begin this year.

‘Apprentice’ may rise from NBC’s fall season ashes

New York – Back in May, Donald Trump seemingly washed his hands of “The Apprentice,” issuing a statement that he was “moving on” from the show.

Now, though, it appears that the billionaire may continue his relationship with the network, as negotiations are proceeding to revive “The Apprentice” for at least a seventh cycle.

Though a deal hasn’t been completed yet, NBC is hoping to have one in place in time for its presentation next week at the Television Critics Association media tour, according to Reuters, which first reported the possible renewal. Among the details still being worked out, according to the wire service and other reports, are whether the show would return for one or two cycles.

“The Apprentice” didn’t have a place on NBC’s schedule when the network announced its 2007-08 lineup in mid-May. A week later, Trump issued his statement saying he was “moving on from ‘The Apprentice’ to a major new TV venture”; he has since struck a deal with Fox to develop a series called “Lady or a Tramp,” based on the British show “Ladette to Lady.”
