Law enforcement report

¢ At 11 p.m. Tuesday, Lawrence police officers were involved in a foot chase after stopping a vehicle near 31st and Iowa streets, emergency dispatchers said. Additional information was not available.

Burglaries and thefts reported

¢ 3100 block of Nieder Road: A 37-year-old man reported $3,146 in fraudulent purchases on his financial card between Aug. 10 and Aug. 28, according to a police report released Tuesday.

¢ 400 block of Arrowhead Drive: Someone stole $800 worth of stereo equipment from a vehicle and caused $400 in damage to the vehicle between Dec. 27 and Dec. 29.

Injury accidents

¢ Two Kansas City, Mo., residents were taken to Lawrence Memorial Hospital on Tuesday afternoon after an accident on Interstate 70 west of Lawrence.

According to a Kansas Turnpike Authority report, Nevail Mitchell, 70, lost control of an eastbound 2007 Chevrolet vehicle at 1:25 p.m. four miles west of the west Lawrence exit. The vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed and struck the center barrier wall before it flipped over in the middle of the road.

Mitchell and passenger Vivian Louise Collier, 39, both complained of neck and back pain, according to the report.

¢ An Ozawkie man and two others were injured Tuesday evening after a three-vehicle accident in Shawnee County on Kansas Highway 4.

Clayton Conner, 54, Ozawkie, was driving a 1985 Honda car south at 5:50 p.m. when it crossed the center line about a half-mile south of U.S. Highway 24 and sideswiped a 1998 Honda, driven by a Berryton man, which then struck a 2002 Ford car, according to a Kansas Highway Patrol report.

Conner was taken to St. Francis Health Center in Topeka. The Ford car’s occupants were taken to Stormont-Vail Hospital in Topeka. The Berryton man was not injured.
