KU alumna cast in N.Y. production

Kristin Bush, a 2001 Kansas University theater graduate, has been cast in a high-profile revival of “King Lear,” to be performed this summer at New York City’s Public Theater.

Actor Kevin Kline will star as the tormented monarch in Shakespeare’s famous tragedy. Bush will star as one of his daughters.

Stephen Sondheim, composer of such landmark musicals as “Sweeney Todd,” “Follies” and “Company,” will share the revival’s music credit with Michael Starobin, best known in the theater as an orchestrator for many Broadway shows.
