Marriage reports denied

London – A spokesman for Kate Moss denied Tuesday reports the supermodel and rocker Pete Doherty had tied the knot during a candlelit Buddhist ceremony in Thailand on New Year’s Day.

Stuart Higgins said Moss, 32, was vacationing in Thailand, but hadn’t married Doherty.

“There has not been any kind of marriage ceremony in Thailand. She is on holiday,” Higgins said.

British newspapers reported Moss and Doherty had held the ceremony in the Thai resort of Phuket. Neither the Sun nor the Daily Mirror provided sources for the information. The Mirror quoted an unnamed friend of Moss as saying the ceremony was an expression of the couple’s mutual devotion.

Higgins called the reports “entirely false.”

Moss and Doherty were reported by British media to be staying at one of the island’s luxury resorts, but hoteliers were discreet about the matter.

Second son born

Los Angeles – It’s a boy, again, for Will Ferrell and his wife, the actor’s publicist said Tuesday.

Mattias Ferrell was born just after 2 a.m. on Dec. 30, said Matt Labov.

Ferrell, 39, and Viveca Paulin were married in 2000. They have a 2-year-old son, Magnus.

Romance was surprise

New York – Demi Moore was as surprised as a lot of other people when she began dating Ashton Kutcher more than three years ago.

“If somebody would have said, ‘OK, here is the prediction: You’re going to meet a man 25 years old and he’s going to see being with you and having your three kids as a bonus,’ I would have said, ‘Keep dreaming,”‘ the 44-year-old actress says in an interview in Vanity Fair magazine’s February issue, on newsstands Jan. 9.

“I think it caught us both by surprise, and particularly him,” Moore says of Kutcher, who is now 28. “He was in this real rise of his career just as we met, which for a young man is prime opportunity for heavy-duty play.”

The couple were married in September 2005.

“We’ve teased each other recently about doing ‘The Graduate’ on Broadway but, you know, historically, real couples being on-screen together never seems to work,” she says.

But there could be a joint project of another sort – children. Moore said she would like to have more.

“Most definitely,” she tells the magazine. “Once you hit three, when you’re outnumbered, it’s really, like, what’s the difference between (three or) four or five? For me, the most important thing that I’ve contributed is my children.”
