The Jayhawk Area Agency on Aging is looking for grant proposals from area agencies and organizations in Douglas, Jefferson and Shawnee counties for programs that will provide services to the elderly.

The requests for proposals will be available at 9 a.m. Friday. The final deadline for submission of a proposal is March 26. Grant money is available to agencies and services that assist caregivers of adults older than 60, as well as services that aid adults older than 55 who provide care to children younger than 19.

The Jayhawk Area Agency on Aging is a nonprofit organization that advocates aging issues in Kansas and implements programs that aid and benefit elderly citizens.
