Orchestra to perform children’s concert

? The Baker University Orchestra will perform its second annual Children’s Concert at 3:30 p.m. Sunday at Rice Auditorium. Admission is free.

Copland’s “Hoe-Down” from “Rodeo” is the opening selection, followed by “Hungarian Rhapsody” by David Popper, featuring Erinn Renyer, cello instructor.

Saint-Saens’ “Carnival of the Animals” will include mimicking the sounds and movement characteristics of selected animals. Rob Flaherty, acting associate dean of the College of Arts and Sciences, will serve as narrator. Baker students Barbara Ludwig, Shawnee, and Dana Phelps, Wichita, will be the featured pianists throughout the suite.
