Crash victim remains in serious condition
A 30-year-old Lawrence man remained in serious condition Tuesday at Kansas University Hospital in Kansas City, Kan., after a car wreck last week in Franklin County.
Joseph L. Bolton was driving south Thursday on U.S. Highway 59 three miles south of Douglas County when his car crossed the center line and hit a truck traveling the opposite direction.
A Kansas Highway Patrol report indicated that Bolton was thrown from his car. He wasn’t wearing a seat belt, according to the report.
The driver of the truck, Charles D. Brandenburg, of Newton, was not injured.
