KU Wind Ensemble performs spring concert

The first KU Wind Ensemble concert of the spring semester, “A Bridge to the Past,” will be at 7:30 p.m. Friday.

The program will include “Gran Partita in B-flat” by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, “J.S. Dances” by Donald Grantham, “Theme and Variations” by Arnold Schoenberg (conducted by music student Lynsday O. Boysen), and “Millennium Canons” by Kevin Puts.

John Lynch is the director of bands and conductor of the KU Wind Ensemble. Lyndsay O. Boysen is the assistant conductor and is a master’s student in wind conducting at Kansas University.

Tickets for this performance are $7/general admission and $5/students and senior citizens. Call 864-2787 for tickets.
