Snow expected to last through weekend

Lawrence’s weekend forecast calls for snow flurries.

The northern region of the state is expected to get a half inch of snow through today, said Jennifer Schack, 6News chief meteorologist.

A light wintry mix is expected to start Sunday and escalate to snow and sleet. The wintry mix is expected to last through Monday.

Schack expects temperatures to remain cold with a high today of 29 degrees and a high of 33 degrees Sunday.
