Laws needed

To the editor:

Drinking a soda or eating while driving can be costly, up to $600 in some states.

“If you make use of your morning commute as a chance to eat breakfast or catch up on e-mail while you’re driving, you had better steer clear of Vermont. And Maryland. And Texas. And Connecticut. All four states – and others may follow – have either enacted or are considering legislation that would ban drivers from doing just about anything while they are behind the wheel,” reports The Associated Press.

Hopefully the wimps in Topeka will pick up on this and enact some legislation themselves!
