Shooting hearing continued to May

Preliminary hearings for three people suspected in the shooting of a man Dec. 19 in Ottawa were continued to May 21.

The hearings for Jeffrey Campbell, Lee Roy House Jr. and Kay F. Gaillard-Taylor, were initially scheduled for Thursday in Franklin County District Court.

They were arrested in the days after the shooting of Michael Miller, who was scheduled to testify against Lawrence resident Louis Galloway in an aggravated-battery trial in Douglas County District Court. The Franklin County Attorney’s office has said the three are suspected in a conspiracy to keep Miller from testifying.

Miller was found lying along a street in Ottawa suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
