Independence Inc. is seeking a volunteer to drive an individual with a visual impairment from Lawrence to Topeka twice a week. The volunteer will receive gas reimbursement and a stipend for services. Volunteers must undergo an interview and submit references.

¢ The Lawrence Boys and Girls Club seeks community volunteers to assist with its annual basketball tournament that brings together teams from all local Boys and Girls Club after-school sites.

¢ Douglas County Senior Services seeks friendly visitor volunteers for homebound and frail seniors. Volunteers will provide social support, run errands, write or read letters, and make phone calls. For additional information or to apply to volunteer, contact Ashley Schemm at 842-0543.
