Rapper arrested at airport with loaded gun

Cleveland – Yung Joc was charged Monday with carrying a concealed weapon after police said a loaded gun was found in his carry-on bag at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport.

The 25-year-old rapper, whose real name is Jasiel Robinson, was arrested about 6:20 a.m. Sunday before boarding a Delta Air Lines flight, police spokesman Lt. Thomas Stacho said.

Police said they found a semiautomatic handgun and ammunition in Robinson’s carry-on bag. He told them he didn’t know the weapon was there, Stacho said.

Robinson was attempting to go through a standard security checkpoint when he was stopped and questioned, then arrested without incident, said Fred Szabo, airport commissioner.

Robinson, of Atlanta, was freed Monday on $50,000 bond after he was formally charged with the felony. He is scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday.

“Yung Joc maintains his innocence. He would appreciate privacy as he addresses these allegations,” said his lawyer, Stanley Jackson Jr.

Michelle Rodriguez reports for jail term

Lynwood, Calif. – Former “Lost” star Michelle Rodriguez will be spending the holidays in jail.

Rodriguez reported to a Los Angeles County jail Sunday to begin a six-month sentence for failing to complete community service and alcohol monitoring as part of her probation from a drunken driving incident, authorities said.

She was booked into the Century Regional Detention Facility just before 4 p.m., said Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Deputy Aura Sierra. It’s the same jail where Paris Hilton served much of her sentence earlier this year.

A call late Sunday night to a Rodriguez representative was not immediately returned.

Rodriguez received the jail time in October, after she admitted violating her probation by failing to provide proof of community service and by drinking alcohol while wearing a monitoring device.

A judge ordered Rodriguez to complete the community service and prohibited her from being granted early release before she had served 180 days.

Amy Adams ambivalent about stardom, career

New York – For all the buzz Amy Adams has earned with her performance as a princess in Disney’s “Enchanted,” she still has doubts about her career path.

“Am I doing it right?” she said. “I don’t think all success and failure is judged by a career. I’m not married. I don’t have children. Sometimes I wish I read more books than scripts. Did I choose the right road?”

Adams, 33, told Newsweek in its edition that hit newsstands Monday that she’s even having trouble sleeping.

“I drew a picture of myself in the third grade of what I would be when I grew up. I had red hair, and oddly enough, I was in a very nice gown.

“Oh no! I’ve got red hair and wear nice gowns. I’ve fulfilled all my childhood dreams. Now what?”

Now what for Adams will be appearances in “Doubt,” a story about two nuns wrestling with allegations of sexual abuse in their parish, and “Sunshine Cleaning,” a dark comedy about two sisters who open a crime scene cleanup business.
