Big Brother wanted to play sports, video games

Montez, a 9-year-old, wants to know if you are interested in being his friend through the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Douglas County program.

If the weather is nice, Montez says, it might be fun to play football. However, if the weather is bad, he suggests bowling or playing video games.

Montez is one of 94 children waiting in Douglas County for a volunteer to commit one or two hours a week to a child through Big Brothers Big Sisters.

Like many children waiting for a Big Brother or a Big Sister, Montez is a fun, outgoing and energetic child who simply wants a friend to help him with his homework and to play sports.

If you like video games, football and bowling, you might be the Big Brother that Montez is waiting for. For more information, please call (800) 488-2545 or visit www.mentoringmagic.org.
