Passenger train derails near Omaha; no injuries

? A passenger train carrying 154 people derailed Sunday about 20 miles west of Omaha, Neb., near Gretna, but no injuries were reported, officials said.

The lead engine of the train derailed at about 11 a.m., but was going slowly enough so that the rest of the train remained on the tracks, Amtrak spokeswoman Tracy Connell said.

Connell said officials were still determining how to get the passengers from the derailment to their next stop, and will either repair the train or send buses. Buses were expected to be available by 2:30 p.m.

Connell said the 143 passengers and 11 crew members were not hurt, and the train still had power.

The train was heading east toward Chicago.
