Lawrence firefighters work the scene of a house fire at 1129 Vt. early Sunday morning. Seven Kansas University students lived at the residence. No one was injured.

Fire damaged a triplex in the 1100 block of Vermont overnight. There were no injuries.

Lawrence-Douglas County Fire & Medical crews were called to 1129 Vt. at 2:25 a.m. According to officials, the fire had spread to the first and second floors and was venting through the roof.

The fire was contained to the triplex; and was declared under control at 5:50 a.m.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. The Red Cross is assisting the residents of the building.
