The Lawrence Youth Symphony will begin rehearsing after the Labor Day holiday.

Events kick off Sept. 8 in the Free State High School band room, 4700 Overland Drive. Rehearsals will be from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

Students in seventh through 10th grades who are enrolled in their respective school band or orchestra are invited to join.

The orchestra will present concerts Nov. 18 and March 9 at Central Junior High School, 1400 Mass.
