Plans for a small, infill housing development near the Lawrence Country Club were unanimously approved by city commissioners after the developer reached a compromise with neighbors.

A development team led by Jeff Arensberg received approval for rezoning that would allow four homes to be built on a vacant acre at 523 through 543 Rockledge Road. Arensberg had been asking for rezoning that would have allowed at least five homes on the property. Several neighbors originally had sought for the rezoning to remain unchanged, which would have allowed for three homes.
