Lawyer says teen client didn’t shoot mail carrier
Nebraska ? The attorney for a 16-year-old accused of shooting an Omaha mail carrier says the boy’s 14-year-old acquaintance pulled the trigger.
Attorney James Martin Davis said his client, Vincent McGee, will plead not guilty Monday.
McGee faces adult charges of attempted second-degree murder, use of a deadly weapon to commit a felony, possession of a short shotgun and possession of marijuana with intent to deliver.
The U.S. attorney was considering federal charges.
McGee is accused of shooting David Bojanski, who was not seriously injured and was released from a hospital Tuesday, the same day he was shot.
Investigators said two teens asked Bojanski for directions to a swimming pool. When he stopped to help, the teens shot him.
