Burglaries and thefts reported

¢ A 60-year-old Lawrence man told Lawrence police his Ford Ranger pickup truck was stolen while parked in the 900 block of Mississippi Street. The truck, valued at $7,000, was taken between 1 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Saturday.

¢ Lawrence police are investigating the theft of a 1998 Chevrolet Camaro valued at $10,000. The car, which belongs to a 20-year-old Lawrence man, was taken between 10:30 p.m. April 18 and 9:15 a.m. Thursday from the 2700 block of Harrison Place. The vehicle was later found burned in Leavenworth County.

¢ An IBM laptop computer was reported stolen to Lawrence police Friday. It was taken from Community Living Opportunities, 1919 Del. The computer was valued at $1,500.

¢ A 19-year-old Lawrence woman reported that her 2007 Pontiac G6 was damaged Friday or Saturday while it was parked in the 600 block of Vermont Street. The vehicle sustained scratches along the driver’s side. Damage was estimated at $2,000.

Injury accidents

¢ A 16-year-old Basehor girl was taken to Children’s Mercy Hospital by helicopter for injuries she suffered in an accident Monday.

Elizabeth Grey was driving north on 166th Street when she struck a car going west on U.S. Highway 24-40 in the intersection west of Basehor.

No condition was available for Grey on Tuesday, but a Leavenworth County Sheriff’s Office report said her injuries were not life-threatening.
