LHS Focus Film Festival’s winners announced

The Lawrence High School Focus Film Festival winners were announced and screened Sunday at Liberty Hall, 642 Mass. The 2007 festival included submissions from students all over Northeast Kansas.

Here are the winning entries:

Best Documentary: “Revolutionizing Exploration: The Forgotten Legacy of Osa and Martin” by Maya Weil, Lawrence High School.

Best Music Video: “Black Wave” by Chelsea Alderman and Eddie Reed, Lawrence High School.

Best Music Video, Original Music: “Quiznor” by Eric Loux, Lawrence High School.

Best Experimental: “Where’s Quiet?” by Eddie Reed, Lawrence High School.

Best Comedy: “When Domestic Animals Attack” by Devin Nutt, Blue Valley High School (Stillwell).

Best Drama: “Tiempo de Volar” by Chelsea Alderman, Lawrence High School.

Best Horror/Suspense: “The Passed” by Morgan Goodin, Lawrence High School.

Best Story: “Regression” by Ivy Knight, Lawrence High School.

Best Editing: “Black Wave” by Chelsea Alderman and Eddie Reed, Lawrence High School.

Best Cinematography: “The Lights” by Chelsea Alderman, Lawrence High School.

Fan Favorite: “Tiempo de Volar” by Chelsea Alderman, Lawrence High School.

Best in Show: “Black Wave” by Chelsea Alderman and Eddie Reed, Lawrence High School.
