School of Fine Arts revamps Web site

Kansas University’s School of Fine Arts recently unveiled a new look for its Web site: arts.ku.edu.

At the beginning of summer 2005, with the new KU identity initiative, the school began planning how to add the changes to its Web site. The school decided to re-engineer the heart of its site to meet KU’s new identity standards, to simplify site navigation, to add multimedia content and galleries for visual arts, and give it a fresh, yet classic look.

Andrea Herstowski, assistant professor of design; Erin Curtis-Dierks, communications coordinator for the School of Fine Arts; and Michael Bird, graduate student, led the project, working with the dean and department chairs to develop a site that met each department’s needs.
