Law enforcement report

¢ Lawrence Police are investigating a 76-year-old man’s report that someone entered his home about 1 p.m. Friday in the 1200 block of Mississippi Street, restrained him and stole $69 cash from him. He described the suspect as a white male about 200 pounds, 20 to 25 years old, with a medium build, wearing a red shirt possibly with a white stripe on the sleeve. Police ask anyone with information to call police at 832-7501 or the Crime Stoppers hotline at 843-TIPS.

¢ Lawrence Police arrested a 21-year-old Lawrence man, Woods J. Denny, on Friday night after responding to witnesses’ reports that a man was riding in a vehicle pointing a gun at people between the 1900 and 2200 blocks of Massachusetts Street. According to a report, police seized a .45 caliber semiautomatic handgun and .357 revolver.

Burglaries and thefts reported

¢ 2300 block of Murphy Drive: A 34-year-old Lawrence man’s Honda Civic, valued at $4,000, was stolen between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. Friday.
