KU design department plans faculty exhibition

Kansas University’s design department will host the annual Design Faculty Exhibition Sunday through Oct. 6, featuring works from more than 30 faculty members.

A myriad of works from areas such as jewelry, ceramics, textiles, metalsmithing, graphic design, and industrial design will be showcased.

“This is not a typical fine arts show; the design faculty will be showing what they do. If they are designing a building, a blueprint will be on display. If they made a presentation at a conference, the program will be represented. If they design jewelry, one of their pieces will be displayed,” Department Chairman Greg Thomas said.

The free exhibition will take place in the Art & Design Gallery in the Art & Design Building. Call 864-4401 for more information.
