Law enforcement report
¢ The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an alleged stabbing incident in the 1100 section of East 1264 road.
The investigation began after sheriff’s officers arrived at Lawrence Memorial Hospital early Saturday, where two Lawrence-area men had been admitted with “cutting wounds,” department spokeswoman Lt. Kari Wempe said.
Wempe said the incident happened at a residence, and police dispatchers indicated that the stabbing happened during a party. Officers continued to investigate on Saturday.
¢ Lawrence Police are investigating a report that someone caused $1,000 in damage to a 1993 Honda Accord station wagon between 7 p.m. Sept. 8 and 11 a.m. Monday in the 200 block of Camden Manor.
Burglaries and thefts reported
¢ 1000 block of Tennessee: Someone took a laptop computer valued at $1,000 between 8:30 a.m. and 2:15 p.m. Thursday from a 21-year-old Lawrence man’s residence while his roommate was asleep there. Police found no signs of forced entry.
