Law enforcement report

¢ A 24-year-old Lawrence man has been charged with aggravated indecent liberties with a child. The mother of a 12-year-old girl reported to Lawrence Police that the man inappropriately touched her child. He was arrested and formally charged Friday.

Burglaries and thefts reported

¢ 1100 section of North 800 Road, Baldwin: A trailer worth $3,200 was stolen between Aug. 24 and 7:25 p.m. Thursday.

Injury accidents

¢ A 22-year-old Kansas University student from Topeka suffered injuries Friday night when he was thrown from his motorcycle in west Lawrence.

Sgt. Susan Hadl, a Lawrence Police spokeswoman, said the man was riding his 2006 Kawasaki to the west after 9 p.m. on Bob Billings Parkway. He lost control of the motorcycle at the curve for an unknown reason and ran off the road into the grassy embankment southwest of the road near the Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 6001 Bob Billings Parkway, Hadl said.

The man was flown by a LifeNet helicopter to the University of Kansas Hospital in Kansas City, Kan. He was unconscious when officers arrived, and he later regained consciousness, Hadl said. Officers are investigating alcohol and other factors as a possible cause, she said.

The man’s name was not released Friday night. He was not wearing a helmet and was driving on a suspended license, Hadl said.
