TV show to feature KU researchers’ interviews

The National Geographic Channel will feature Kansas University researchers on its Thursday episode of the “Naked Science” series.

The program examines three of the largest mass extinctions that decimated life on the planet in the past.

National Geographic crews came to KU in the summer to interview Adrian Melott, KU professor of physics and astronomy; Bruce Lieberman, associate professor of geology; and Mikhail Medvedev, associate professor of physics and astronomy. The program will feature KU research into mass extinctions connected with astrophysics.

The program will air at 9 p.m. and broadcast again at 1 p.m. Saturday. The program will air on Sunflower Cable channel 83.
