Vocal ensemble to perform in Baldwin

Octarium, an eight-voice vocal ensemble, will perform at 7:30 p.m. today at Baldwin First United Methodist Church as part of Baker University’s Artist and Lecture Series.

The a cappella group of four men and four women will perform pieces by Lloyd Pfautsch, Randall Thompson, Ralph Vaughan Williams and Healy Willan.

Octarium, Latin for eight as one, consists of Jay Van Blaricum, tenor; Seth Farrow, tenor; Megan Helm, alto; Brady Shepherd, lyric baritone; Jaime Scherrer, alto; Renee Transue Stanley, soprano; Ashley Elizabeth Winters, soprano; and Benjamin Winters, bass-baritone. Helm, Stanley, Van Blaricum, Ashley Winters and Benjamin Winters have degrees from Kansas University.
