Lawrence Toastmasters, a club that works to foster effective communication, will conduct a demonstration meeting this week to spread the word about its mission and encourage people to join.

The club, which previously met at 7 a.m., will convene at its new time and location: noon Thursday at Central National Bank, 3140 Nieder Road.

The new time will allow more people to participate, said Greg DiVilbiss, the club’s vice president.

Meetings include instruction in public speaking, listening, making presentations and other facets of communication.
