Suspects arrested for residence hall thefts

Kansas University police have arrested two Wichita men suspected of stealing more than $4,000 worth of computer equipment this weekend from residents’ rooms at Oliver Hall.

Cameron Hardrick and Michael Deallie, both 19 from Wichita, were arrested Monday evening and booked into Douglas County Jail on suspicion of theft and aggravated burglary.

Three laptop computers and two iPods were reported missing Sunday night from rooms in Oliver Hall.

KU Public Safety Capt. Schuyler Bailey said the two men had no affiliation with students. He credited the arrests to “good witnesses.”
