Law enforcement report
¢ Police have taken reports of counterfeit bills used at three local businesses in the last week: a $20 bill at Abe and Jake’s Landing, 8 E. Sixth St.; a $20 bill at Burger King, 1301 W. 23rd St.; and two $100 bills at KFC, 901 Wakarusa Drive.
Burglaries and thefts reported
¢ 1000 block of Parkview Road: A 61-year-old Lawrence woman reported a window broken at her home and more than $3,000 worth of items stolen from the home between midnight and noon Sunday.
¢ 400 block of Arkansas Street: a Mazda Protege valued at $1,500 was taken between 3:50 p.m. and 7 p.m. Monday.
