The bottom line
The job market is bright for students graduating from Kansas, Baker and Haskell Indian Nations universities and others across the country, according to a survey by the National Association of Colleges and Employers:
60: Percentage of employers who say they’ll be hiring more new college graduates this year than last.
13.8: Percentage increase in total new jobs available for new college graduates this year compared with 2005.
9.8: Percentage increase in new jobs to be offered to college graduates by employers in the Midwest. Percentage increases in other regions: 24.8 for Northeast, 13.8 in the South and 5.8 in the West.
20: Percentage of employers who say they are increasing, or will be increasing, wages to entice potential employees.
