Topeka ? The Legislature on Wednesday approved a bill that would require motorists to turn on headlights when it is raining.

The measure, approved by the House and Senate, now goes to Gov. Kathleen Sebelius for consideration.

Under the bill, drivers must turn on their headlights during daylight hours when it is raining, smoky or foggy.
