Lawrence Community Theatre’s popular program for girls in sixth through eighth grades will begin a second session April 5.

“Brave New Girls” is designed to awaken and develop young women’s leadership skills through participation in a variety of fun, hands-on theater experiences such as role-playing, storytelling, problem-solving games and improvisation. Women in the community will visit the sessions during the six-week program, which will be Wednesdays through May 10.

The program fee is $30; scholarships are available. To enroll, call 843-7469. The series is open to both newcomers and past participants.
