Sunflower Broadband Internet service was interrupted for nearly three hours Thursday morning.

At 6:30 a.m., Sunflower technicians were at 11th and Louisiana streets, repairing a fiber cable that was damaged in a vehicle accident in February. During the repair, technical problems with equipment providing Internet backbone redundancy resulted in the outage, disrupting service across town.

The outage ended at approximately 9:15 a.m.
