Actor Anthony Rapp will give a lecture at 7:30 p.m. March 29 in the Crafton-Preyer Theatre at Kansas University. The event is part of the KU's Queers & Allies Pride Week celebration.
Rapp, best known for originating the role of Mark Cohen in the Tony Award-winning rock opera "Rent," will discuss his mother's battle with breast cancer, his struggles as a gay man and his experiences as a cast member in the opera.
Tickets are free for KU students with an ID and $10 for the public. Tickets are available Monday through March 29 in the KU ticket offices, online at www.kutheatre.com or by calling 864-3982.
